Each team has a dedicated Pirelli tyre engineer and tyre fitter who work closely with them all through the year. 18 tyre fitters are in charge of mounting all tyres correctly and in time. Senior engineers make sure that all questions and any issues arising are immediately dealt with on-site. Then there is the R&D department in Milan, where each new tyre, be it road or competition, is ‘born’ and where 150 engineers make sure that Pirelli’s tyre technology keeps abreast of the fast changing environment which is Formula One. In addition, all data collected at the track gets send to Milan in real time which enables the engineers there to provide instant analysis and projections, if necessary. Last but not least, Pirelli’s dedicated Formula One factory in Izmit, Turkey, produces 200,000 competition tyres a year of which approximately 50,000 are made for Formula One alone each year. -

The professional attitude of the founders has now been passed to their sons who run the company with the support of the USI ITALIA management. Today USI ITALIA, thanks to constant investments, has a completely renewed facility covering over 6,000m2, housing 95 employees and sells more than 400 spray booths every year.

Helen & Douglas House is a registered charity providing respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family. The two hospice houses are in east Oxford and are bright, vibrant, positive places where the emphasis is on living life to the full even though that life may be short. Children can stay at Helen House and young adults can stay at Douglas House, along with their families, for short periods of time for rest and recuperation, treatment of distressing symptoms, end of life care and support. -
The SKIDZ Motor Projects charity provides opportunities for disadvantaged young people to gain vocational motor trade skills and access to courses in motor engineering in an adult work-style environment, providing qualifications as well as experience of the world of work. Currently based in rented premises, SKIDZ aims to raise almost £1million to purchase a self-contained property for the Wycombe Motor Project. In the new premises, SKIDZ will be able to offer an improved service to the area’s youngsters plus a much wider range of opportunities and better facilities. The charity will become more financially viable, have security of tenure and be able to invest in a stronger future. Ross Brawn has been a Patron of the Wycombe Motor Project since June 2009. -
The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is an apolitical charitable initiative founded by Mercedes-Benz that uses the positive influence of sport to tackle society's most pressing challenges around the globe, supporting projects on every continent. Its objective is to help young people overcome the limitations imposed by challenging social issues including poverty, homelessness, drug abuse, discrimination and AIDS. Since its inception Laureus has raised over €35 million for projects which have helped to improve the lives of more than one million young people. The Laureus Academy members – 46 international sports legends - and over 100 Laureus Friends & Ambassadors volunteer their services as global ambassadors for the social Laureus supported projects.
