Technical Buyer
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Procuring parts from preferred vendors whilst not exceeding budget and adhering to the relevant purchasing and finance procedures.
- Working with project leaders to ensure parts are delivered in line with the requirements of the project plan and to the correct quality standard.
- Supporting cost reduction and the vendor rating system with QA.
- Managing the logistical requirements of all finishing and further processing requirements.
- Actively and regularly expediting all open purchase orders and update SAP and the project leaders as necessary.

• Creation and maintenance of specifications and documentation related to development projects.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in an electronic design role in a Formula 1 team, a top level motorsport team, or for a Formula 1 electronic system/component supplier.
• Minimum 5 years experience in professional electronic design and development.
• Minimum 2 years experience in writing software (‘C’, C++, etc) for embedded applications. • Experience in using Electronic CAD systems for schematic entry and PCB layout (ideally, but not necessarily, using Altium Designer).
• Experience in preparing electronic CAD data for manufacture
• Experience in preparing and using test fixtures and electronic test equipment
• Experience in creating requirements specifications, project and budget planning, and in writing and maintaining specifications and documentation.
Flexibility in hours and approach is required along with the ability to work on your own initiative. The successful candidate will have the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

A vacancy has arisen for a Software Engineer reporting to the Chief Engineer within the Vehicle Dynamics Group.
The overall purpose of this position is to work as part of the software project team developing current and future engineering toolsets along with other internally developed software in the future.
