Technical Buyer
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Procuring parts from preferred vendors whilst not exceeding budget and adhering to the relevant purchasing and finance procedures.
- Working with project leaders to ensure parts are delivered in line with the requirements of the project plan and to the correct quality standard.
- Supporting cost reduction and the vendor rating system with QA.
- Managing the logistical requirements of all finishing and further processing requirements.
- Actively and regularly expediting all open purchase orders and update SAP and the project leaders as necessary.
- Ensuring all procurement data in SAP is maintained to a high standard ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Developing supplier capability knowledge through supplier visits with QA Manager.

Ideally with an understanding of modern MRP/ERP software and associated logistical tools, the successful candidate will be able to understand and interpret technical drawings and/or composite lay-up manuals. A strong proven competence of modern composites, machining and fabrication manufacturing processes are necessary. A degree or equivalent qualification in procurement is desirable, along with a background in a similar role.Knowledge of SAP would be desirable.You will possess high levels of drive and able to make decisions within a pressurised environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities
• To be responsible for the visitor booking system, ensuring visitors are logged on the Intranet system and prepare access cards.

A vacancy has arisen for a CAE Systems Analyst reporting to the CAE Systems Team Leader.
The role is to support the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd HPC IT systems with particular focus on the CFD & FEA (CAE) environments including, hardware and software installation/configuration and the administration of the Job scheduling and licensing systems.
You will provide hands on support and ensure the stable operation of all the HPC systems, workstations and storage, as well as being involved in the planning, development, installation, support, and optimisation of all the CAE systems. The role requires a willingness to occasionally work extended hours and be included on a rota for out of hours support at evenings and weekends.Key Responsibilities:
• To provide support, development and administration for all of the CFD and FEA computing resources including SGI ICE compute cluster and the Pre & Post processing environments and software including Patran, Nastran, Pamcrash, Hyperworks, fluent, ANSA and the associated licensing, end user machines & compute resource.
• Responsible for all backup, archive and retrieval processes for all CAE systems
• To assist with evaluation of upcoming and emerging technologies in order to ensure the company has the most effective and productive IT solutions
• Monitoring and reporting of cluster utilisation and workstation health
• To ensure that accurate and up to date inventories of IT hardware and software are maintained
• To ensure that all documentation/procedures are kept up to date and relevant
• To provide support for all major changes/moves within the organisation
• You will periodically be required to work outside of normal working hours both at evening and weekends.
• To assist in any other tasks as and when required.
