A vacancy has arisen for a CAE Systems Analyst reporting to the CAE Systems Team Leader.

The role is to support the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd HPC IT systems with particular focus on the CFD & FEA (CAE) environments including, hardware and software installation/configuration and the administration of the Job scheduling and licensing systems. 
You will provide hands on support and ensure the stable operation of all the HPC systems, workstations and storage, as well as being involved in the planning, development, installation, support, and optimisation of all the CAE systems.  The role requires a willingness to occasionally work extended hours and be included on a rota for out of hours support at evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities: 

• To provide support, development and administration for all of the CFD and FEA computing resources including SGI ICE compute cluster and the Pre & Post processing environments and software including  Patran, Nastran, Pamcrash, Hyperworks, fluent, ANSA and the associated licensing, end user machines & compute resource.

• Responsible for all backup, archive and retrieval processes for all CAE systems

• To assist with evaluation of upcoming and emerging technologies in order to ensure the company has the most effective and productive IT solutions
