Introduction

The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team is committed to environmental management. The Team shall set clear objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement of the Team’s environmental performance and management system. The Team shall appoint an Environmental Officer. The Environmental Policy shall be reviewed regularly to make sure it remains relevant to the team’s activities and any changes shall be documented.
A copy of this policy shall be made available to all employees and the general public (on request).
This process responds to ISO 14001:2004 clause 4.2.

Process Statement

The Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team design, manufacture, assemble and test formula one cars to compete in the FIA Formula One World Championship at Grand Prix circuits around the world.

The Team shall:

Meet the requirements of all relevant legislation and other requirements and pursue best practice;

Dispose of waste in a responsible manner and introduce programmes to minimise waste sent to landfill;

Use energy responsibly and efficiently;

Effectively manage and control processes to prevent pollution and reduce the likelihood of any environmental incidents;

Continually improve environmental performance;

Fully consider the impact on the environment before committing capital expenditure;

Engage employees, suppliers, team partners and race fans on environmental issues;

Provide the necessary training and support to ensure that the team can fulfil the requirements outlined in this Policy.
